NGOs on UPR-info.org

UPR-info.org is working on creating contacts and partnerships with NGOs both in Geneva where the reviews take place and in the regions.

Here you will find the ways in which NGOs can interact with UPR-info.org:

Submissions of reports
UPR-info.org offers NGOs the possibility to display their submissions to the Universal Periodic Review process, both the five-page document and additional information.

Only credible and reliable information coming from identified and trusted sources will be considered. Information must be sorted by country. For each country, please separate the official submission from additional information.

Please note that the information submitted to UPR-info.org does by no means replace or substitute itself to the submissions made to the Office of the High Commissioner and which will be taken into account during the reviews. (Here you will find information on how to make submissions to the High Commissioner and on how to participate within the UPR process).

Dissemination of useful information on the UPR
In order to better facilitate NGOs’ participation in the UPR process, we gather and publish information coming from NGOs on their experience with the UPR, on their lobbying strategies and suggestions as well as analyses and assessments of the process. These documents can be found both in the "Documents" page Articles and Publications as well as on the relevant page of the NGO. If you wish to share any useful information, please send us an email to info upr-info.org

Press statements
UPR-info.org proposes NGOs to post their press statements in the "Media Centre" and in the "Working Group" section of the concerned State. For this purpose, please write to info upr-info.org

Assistance
UPR-info.org aims at facilitating NGOs participation at the UPR. We follow closely the process in order be able to better assist NGOs from the regions. For any information, query or question on the UPR, please do not hesitate to write to info upr-info.org
