The 48th UPR Working Group around the corner!
The UPR Working Group will hold its 48th session from 20 January to 31 January 2025.
The 14 States under Review (SuR) during this session are Angola, Bolivia (Plurinational State of), Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, El Salvador, Fiji, Gambia, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Iraq, Italy, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, San Marino, and Slovenia.
The UPR Working Group sessions will take place in Room XX at the Palais des Nations, United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, and will be broadcast on UN Web TV. UPR Info's work: Pre-sessions
From 19th to 22nd November 2024 UPR Info hosted the Pre-sessions for countries under review during the 48th Working Group session. Various key stakeholders, such as civil society organisations and national human rights institutions, were invited to discuss key human rights concerns within their respective countries and propose recommendations to Geneva-based State representatives.
