Human rights, a sport for all

This event celebrates not only sports but also universal human rights values such as peace, tolerance, and non-discrimination. In Geneva, the world's human rights capital, the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) assesses the human rights performance of all UN member states every four and a half years. Just as the Olympics drive athletes to improve their records, the UPR acts as a catalyst for advancing human rights.
