Civil society organisations, NHRI and other associations are encouraged to submit a report on the human rights situation of their country. Upon submission, the OHCHR will compile all of the civil society reports into a single summary report.

By submitting an "Other Stakeholders Report," civil society can

  • Provide first-hand information and an analytical overview of the human rights situation in the State under Review

  • Suggest specific and action-oriented recommendations to States

This webinar is open to all the stakeholders, in particular to human rights defenders, CSOs and national human rights institutions from the States under Review during the 49th UPR Working Group (Kyrgyzstan, Kiribati, Guinea, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Spain, Lesotho, Kenya, Armenia, Guinea-Bissau, Sweden, Grenada, Turkey, Guyana, Kuwait).

The webinar will integrate the new guidelines published by the OHCHR, which reiterates the importance of focusing on the implementation of accepted recommendations and developments of the human rights situation in a State under review. Civil society is encouraged to include information on the follow-up of the previous review in their written contributions.
