The Gambia absent from the adoption of their own UPR report

The Gambia was absent from the adoption of their own UPR report at the Human Rights Council (HRC) on 28 March 2015. The Gambia does not have a representation in Geneva and was not able to send a delegation. It had however provided a written response to the 171 recommendations received during their UPR in November 2014. The delegation accepted 93 recommendations and noted 78.

In the past, three countries have also been absent from their own adoption at the HRC: Israel in the second cycle and Kiribati and Samoa in the first cycle. Cyprus was absent during the adoption at the Working Group stage.
