How to Optimize Other Stakeholders' Reports for the UPR

The OHCHR has made available the calendar of reviews of the UPR 4th cycle, which will officially start in October/November 2022. The UPR process provides for the participation of all relevant actors, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), national human rights institutions (NHRIs) and human rights defenders.

Ahead of the deadline of the 41st Working Group session of the UPR (31st March 2022) UPR Info in partnership with HRMI organizes free online webinars to equip human rights defenders with key information and technical guidance to write effective reports for the UPR of UN Member States

The 41st session of the Working Group on the UPR will review the human rights situation in Bahrain, Ecuador, Tunisia, Morocco, Indonesia, Finland, United Kingdom, India, Brazil, Philippines, Algeria, Poland, Netherlands, South Africa.

During the online sessions good practices and new online tools will be presented to strengthen the submissions by civil society actors.

Title: Good practices to Submit an “Other Stakeholders Report” to the UPR
Date: Tuesday, 14 December from 12:00 to 13:30 (CET)
The session will be facilitated by UPR Info. French interpretation will be made available.

Title: Online Tools to Track Human Rights Performance, an Introduction to the Rights Tracker
Dates: Wednesday 15 December from 12:00 to 13:30 (CET)- This session will be only in English.
This session will be facilitated by Human Rights Measurement Initiative (HRMI).
