New Webinars: Optimizing the Submission of Stakeholders Report for the UPR
The deadline for stakeholder submissions for the 42nd Working Group session is due on the 14th of July 2022.
UPR Info, in partnership with Human Rights Measurement Initiative (HRMI) and Race and Equality Brazil, organizes two free webinars to equip civil society with key information and guidance to write effective reports for the UPR of UN Member States. These online sessions will also offer good practices and online tools to strengthen the submissions by civil society.
This webinar is open to all the interested stakeholders and, in particular to human rights defenders, civil society organizations and members of national human rights institutions from the countries that will be reviewed during the 42nd UPR Working Group (Czechia, Argentina, Gabon, Ghana, Peru, Guatemala, Benin, Republic of Korea, Switzerland, Pakistan, Zambia, Japan, Ukraine, Sri Lanka).
The webinars will integrate the new guidelines published by the OHCHR, which recall the importance of focusing on, inter alia, the implementation of accepted recommendations and the developments of the human rights situation in the State under review. Civil society is encouraged to include information on the follow-up of the previous review in their written contributions.
