Do You Want to Learn More About How to Engage in the UPR? Register to the Upcoming Webinars!

In May 2021 UPR Info will organize a series of free online webinars to provide technical support and to share good practices and tools to all the representatives of civil society that wish to have an impact on the UPR of their country.

UPR Info will hold two webinars- one in French and one in English- to offer civil society with some good practices in the preparation of mid-term reports and one webinar on how to optimize the submission of "Other Stakeholders Report".

Webinars on UPR Mid-Term Reporting
Monitoring the State’s implementation of UPR recommendations is an important activity for civil society to ensure Government’s accountability and respect of human rights. The findings can serve as the basis for advocacy with the national Government, and may be developed into an implementation plan to contribute in the advancement of human rights. The importance of mid-term reporting is further compounded by the absence of an official UN process tasked to assess implementation of UPR recommendations. As a result, these documents constitute an important source of information to monitor the progress, or lack thereof, of recommendations during the 4.5 years between reviews.
