New Webinar: Optimizing UPR Other Stakeholders Reports
The deadline for stakeholder submissions for the 45th Working Group session is due on the 18 July 2023.
UPR Info, organizes a free webinar to provide civil society representatives with key information and guidance to submit "Other Stakeholders Reports" to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of UN Member States. These online session aims at sharing technical information and online tools in the drafting process of UPR reports.
As a peer-to-peer exchange opportunity, the webinar will provide space to exchange good practices in the drafting and dissemination of UPR reports thanks to the participation of Save the children Philippines.
Save the children Philippines is an organization dedicated to promoting children’s rights by supporting children across the world and in Philippines providing them the help they need to improve their standard of living.
This webinar is open to all the interested stakeholders and, in particular to human rights defenders, civil society organizations and members of national human rights institutions from the countries that will need to submit a report during the 45th UPR Working Group (Saudi Arabia, Senegal, China, Nigeria, Mexico, Mauritius, Jordan, Malaysia, Central African Republic, Monaco, Belize, Chad, Congo, Malta)
The webinar will integrate the new guidelines published by the OHCHR, which recall the importance of focusing on, inter alia, the implementation of accepted recommendations and the developments of the human rights situation in the State under review. Civil society is encouraged to include information on the follow-up of the previous review in their written contributions.
